About Ben Agosto III

Among Houston’s younger generation of plaintiff trial lawyers, few have collected honors as quickly as Ben Agosto III, a senior associate at Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner — Texas’ longest-standing personal injury firm. A Houston native, he has been named a Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers four years running (2023–2026), a distinction reserved for the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state, and recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for three consecutive years across three separate categories: plaintiffs’ personal injury, product liability, and medical malpractice. Latino Leaders Magazine has also named him a Top Latino Lawyer three years straight (2022–2024).

That recognition rests on real case volume. Before joining Abraham Watkins in 2021, Agosto spent three years at The Buzbee Law Firm handling hundreds of matters, where he built deep catastrophic injury experience and contributed to seven- and eight-figure outcomes in railroad accidents, commercial vehicle collisions, refinery explosions, maritime injuries, and workplace disasters. His current caseload spans trucking and commercial vehicle crashes, industrial and refinery catastrophes, railroad litigation, maritime and offshore claims, toxic exposure, premises and products liability, insurance bad faith, medical malpractice, and wrongful death — always representing seriously injured people against corporate defendants, never the other way around.

His advocacy roots go back to high school, where he was a champion policy debater at Klein High School — an arena that trained him to master evidence and think several moves ahead. He earned a finance degree from the University of South Florida in 2014, then attended South Texas College of Law Houston, where he won a national moot court championship, served as a Langdell Scholar tutoring classmates in legal analysis and writing, and contributed to the South Texas Law Review before graduating in 2017. He then clerked for Judge Larry Weiman of Harris County’s 80th District Court — at the time among the three busiest trial courts in Texas — watching from the bench’s vantage point what separates winning lawyers from the rest. He was promoted to senior associate in 2025 and belongs to the Houston Bar Association, Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and Houston Young Lawyers Association.

Agosto fits injury victims who want an energetic, heavily credentialed advocate backed by a storied firm’s resources: workers hurt in refinery or industrial accidents, railroad and maritime employees, victims of 18-wheeler crashes, families pursuing wrongful death or medical malpractice claims, and policyholders fighting bad-faith insurers. Consultations are free, and the firm charges nothing unless it recovers for you.
