Franklin graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a perfect 4.0 GPA in political science, then earned his J.D. at Southern Methodist University School of Law, where he was inducted into SMU’s Barristers and the National Order of Barristers, won the Excellence in Advocacy Award for his mock trial and moot court work, served on the Computer Law Review and Technology Journal, and was Vice President of the Board of Advocates – in short, he was training as a courtroom advocate before he ever had a client.
