About Jonathon C. Clark

Among Austin injury lawyers, Jon Clark holds a credential almost nobody can match: in April 2023, he and his co-counsel won an $860 million verdict in Williams et al. v. Greystar Development & Construction in Dallas County — the largest wrongful death verdict in the United States that year and the second-largest plaintiff’s jury verdict in Texas, according to TopVerdict.com. As managing attorney of the Austin office of Glasheen, Valles & Inderman, Clark has spent his entire career on one thing: representing people and families devastated by catastrophic injuries and wrongful deaths.

His caseload over the years has covered serious workplace accidents, commercial trucking wrecks, major car and motorcycle collisions, pipeline explosions, premises liability claims, and pedestrian injuries — with an aggressive approach that has produced winning settlements and trial outcomes for hundreds of clients. What he considers his core skill is translation: making a jury genuinely understand how an injury rewires a person’s entire life, not just their medical chart.

Clark grew up in the Fort Worth area, earned his undergraduate degree at Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business, and stayed for the Texas Tech School of Law, where he edited two journals — the Texas Tech Law Review and the Estate Planning & Community Property Journal — and, as a third-year student, argued a real case before a United States Circuit Court, one level below the U.S. Supreme Court. After clerking for a Lubbock District Court, he joined the firm as a law clerk, spent three years as a litigation attorney there, ran his own Austin practice for two and a half years, and then returned to lead the firm’s Austin office. He is licensed in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado, with federal admissions in the Northern District of Texas and the District of New Mexico.

The recognition has stacked up accordingly. Super Lawyers has honored him as a Texas Rising Star since 2016, a Top 100 Rising Star for 2022, and a Texas Super Lawyer in 2022 — his first year of eligibility — and every year since. The National Trial Lawyers selected him as a Top 40 Under 40 beginning in 2016 until he aged out, and later for its Top 100 Personal Injury Attorneys, while the National Association of Distinguished Counsel placed him in the Nation’s Top One Percent in 2016. He gives back to the profession, too: he sits on the Board of Directors of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, chaired its Advocates Board in 2019, and founded TTLA LEAD, the group’s leadership academy, while also serving on the executive committee of the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association. He keeps sharpening his courtroom craft through Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College, Sari de la Motte’s H2H Crew, and TTLA’s Trial Advocacy College of Texas.

Clark is the right call for Austin-area families facing the worst-case scenarios — a death or life-altering injury caused by a trucking company, a construction site, a dangerous property, or an industrial accident — who need a lawyer with verdict-proven leverage. Consultations are free, and the firm only gets paid if you recover.
